5365 Radell Dr SE, Salem, OR
PROJECTED OPENING DATE: JUNE 26
We are continuing our policy of not using pesticides to provide a refuge for native pollinators, they've done an excellent job again this year. We have butterflies now!
The bushes have been heavily mulched with local Douglas Fir bark dust, reducing the need for selective week killers. The overhead sprinklers will be replaced with a drip system, reducing water waste and discouraging the growth of weeds. Better water delivery means bigger and better berries. We didn't need any fungicides last year and hopefully won't need any this year either.
We are using best organic practices, although being surrounded by properties we have no control over, we won't ever get certified.
