U-Pick Tips and Common Courtesy

We recommend picking into a small container which will fit under each clump. The berries can be gently rolled off the stem into the smaller container and transferred into your larger container or bucket as needed. This professional picking technique enables you to pick the greatest quantity in the shortest time.

Only pick firm berries. Soft berries are over-ripe or the birds/bees have gotten at them.

Please bring your own large containers or buckets for transporting your picked berries to the kiosk. (We have  buckets for spur-of-the-moment customers.)  Please sign in and weigh your containers prior to picking.

We will be posting signs to guide you to your best picking experience.

If your children accompany you, please see that they are well behaved, no running or cutting through bushes which results in berries being knocked to the ground.

Dress casually and wear shoes that are appropriate for farm conditions. With the new drip system, the grass has gone dormant and the field will be dusty. Watch out for gopher holes, they've been bad this year.
